Part of the ‘Horizon Series’. The spinning spirals are motifs frequently used by the artists for depicting chaos and waiting for the world to settle on something constant and the leveling effect of finding your horizon line, on looking for stillness or waiting for stillness to return. This work is inspired by the clarity and giddyness the artist feels climbing a steep path, to get to a cliff top view over the sea in an area of undercliff on the Isle of Wight; and the time it takes her to catch her breath and take in the moment.
