May Open Studios begins!

Great start to Oxfordshire Open Studios! What a busy weekend. We are open again tomorrow and then again from the 23rd-27th May. My room at Ayres House Studios is open along with many other artists and makers in building. Its a good chance to chat to other artists and the public. I dont really rearrange anything during this time, my room is much the same as usual; so a bit cluttered and messy, but not enough to fail a risk assessment. I think people like to see your tools, bric a brac and ephemera as much as the work. This is the first time this year that I have opened up my new studio space to the public, and its been really nice to see peoples reaction. Despite having smaller windows to my previous studio, many visitors complimented the light and feel of the room. We are open 10.30-4.30 and Ayres House Studios is on Ayres Yard off Station Road in Wallingford, and parking is available to the gravel area to the front of the building. If you’d like to arrange a studio visit outside of these times, please email me @emmasouterrees@gmail.com.
